Trailer looks great! Is the nose and other part of the trailer the mill finished metal or is it the gray colored covering?

Mill finish, I can't get anything to match my green truck and I don't like black streaks on white painted sheets or when logos are peeled off after years and you can still see the images in the paint. I was trying to stay with a classic look. Trends kill me...remember when black trailers were the rage, like putting your horse in an oven and now they look like crap just a few years later.

Hey I'm gonna jump in on the party too! It's a just got my new trailer thread now' LOLI picked up my 2015 Adam Excursion 3 slant. I want to make a plug for them and Orchard Trailers in Mass. From my northern location I wasn't finding anything that really wowed me in my price range. I looked at Trailers all over New England, considered taking a ride south to get something, then looked at all the factors, price, travel time $ and hassle. The Adam Excursion Impressed me a lot comparing to comparable priced Trailers just like it in my region. Orchard also tweaked it adding few extras I wanted. I have a diesel truck and big horses, one of which has a knack for beating the crap out of trailer( fortunately at no harm to himself...) I knew I did not want a flimsy aluminum can and I'm all done dealing with rusting steel and/ or rust streaking up aluminum skins. I found this Adam to be very rugged construction and nice quality dividers, rugged drop down bars not the flimsy kind etc.It was a dream team w my Ram 3/4 ton...rode like a Lexus for horses 250 miles home Massachusetts traffic to back roads and mountains. Size was very handy, I ended up in less than ideal gas station looking for diesel, had to back around some obstacles...very handy, easy peasy quick responsive w the combined wheel bases and hitch point. So far so good.now to get the naughty horse on it;-) https://goo.gl/photos/poPVkhbWarPFLouS6

I come from good sturdy "Mainers" myself. Sometimes I even call Lobsters Lobstas just to freak out the fancy seafood shops in Dallas.

Huntseat.....This note to us was one of 2 that convinced us to look at Elite trailers, and we loved what we saw and learned about Elites. .We also looked at several brands, called and priced at many dealers, (getting no reply from several), went to factories, etc. We have an Elite stock combo with an 8ft. LQ and midtack on order. Made just how we want it! Want to give a shout out to who we dealt with but not sure if that is allowed here. (Some one tell me if that is OK and I will praise our dealer.) Happy Trails and Holidays to all!

I'm waiting for mine to roll off the line within the next few weeks. I've looked everywhere and crawled through most of the OK trailer company factories and I have to say that they really are the finest money can buy. I had a different dealing with the above mentioned dealership and found them to be unresponsive and unwilling to call me back after three calls to the dealership for quotes on the same trailer. I'm still waiting on the return call from the first message back when I started shopping in September for an Exiss trailer, two more calls later and still nothing. They clearly didn't want to sell trailers the days I called. So, I bought a better trailer from a guy that called me back! Having a great dealer take time to custom build the trailer with you is where the magic happens, it's just like building a custom home...don't rush the design. I show both horses and cows so I had to have a stock trailer tall enough for the horses and able to transform instantly into a show cattle hauler, with the right design and a dealer that will walk you through the process you can have everything you need in an Elite. I had back surgery just before I ordered mine so I got the WERM floor put in mine so I won't have to haul/drag mats for cleaning. The double side ramps should help me with the heavy show box and allow loading of each compartment individually. Have fun and build exactly what you want because you won't need another trailer after buying an Elite

I'm not anywhere near OK but have to say, in the course of trailer shopping in my region, I too was surprised at the BS some dealerships dish out. My region has a lot of amatures horse people, of the type that really know nothing, did not grow up around farms or large animals, do not have experience with trucks or Trailers or how you determine what kind of combination is best for your needs, and also your horses needs. I was treated to quite a lot of absolute bull by dealerships who assumed I would not be looking past a pretty exterior and a brand so and so local trainer is hauling.I also got the " too cool for you" treatment from some places, as if we were all in high school again, I'm guessing either because they went to a sales seminar that suggested such head games work on some poor bastards to make them get mad, then insist on having the best most expensive to prove they won't stand for being "dissed". Unfortunately, in negotiable strategy, sales etc...tactics like that are instructed. Personally,I think it's amaturish of the worst sort and walk away immediately.Playing devil's advocate for nicer dealerships, in my region there were some trade shows and response time was slow while they were working their vendor displays, but, they also apologized and stated they were there as well.Like car dealerships, pays to do your homework and never let yourself be rushed or played. Walking away from the table should always be in your back pocket.PT Barnum said jacka$$ born every min. Unfortunately, a lot of sales ideology banks on this.

I certainly was NOT intending to start any dealership bashing. Of course everyplace has their way of selling that works for their area. I was congratulating Huntseat on her new trailer and thank her for pointing us in the Elite direction.

Chill Miili....trailer dealers and car dealers operate on same sales model. Trust me, we aren't hurting anyone's feelings, they can take it. Besides, no names named all good...

Milliron, you absolutely can and should praise your dealer online and ON HERE! Dealerships that get it right should be the ones that get rewarded by great word of mouth advertising and people have to appreciate honesty even if they don't like the content. I was raised a few doors down from a very large Ford dealer in DFW and I can tell you that the owner might not know about what the salesmen are doing and if it's bad for business it's BAD FOR BUSINESS. The best thing for business is word of mouth referrals, I can say that 100%. In the last 9 months I've opened/managed a new office by mostly referrals...We built a doctors office based off the veterinarian model and it's a hit! It's a doctors office where you get to see your doctor when you are sick and not 3 weeks later, imagine that? I'm so happy to hear that your new trailer is on order and I'm sure you will be thrilled with it once it arrives. I never named the person I purchased mine from because he's not a dealer, but I can say that he did a first rate job of taking my wish list and turning it into reality. Please post pics once it's all hooked-up.
