Will a 35'horse trailer fit in camp grounds in and around the Smokey Mtns? Are the roads too narrow getting to the different sites? Thanks in advance for your response.

You can scratch Big Creek Horse Camp off the list in the Smokies - it has a narrow bridge at an odd angle on the only access road into that portion of the park. You will also want to think twice about Cataloochee, it has a stretch of 1 lane road with blind curves so if you meet another rig coming in the opposite direction in that area, you'll wish you hadn't tried it. If you don't meet another rig you can make it fine, but too big of a risk for me to take.

Thanks for the reply. Never thought about not being able to traverse the Smokies but a friend brought that to my attention so I might need to head West!

We had a trailer almost that big and could get into East Fork near Big South Fork easily
I'm so glad we don't have to worry about that anymore-- smaller trailer now - it's not "quite" as nice in camp-- but MUCH better to pull and get in and out of camps
