Interesting read. So who besides me actually LIKES the diesel clatter ? Maybe because Ive had only diesel pick ups since 1970 and thats what I expect to hear!

Complicated question to answer...I looked at the variables (cost, repairs, fuel cost, longevity etc) and went with diesel...I like the 12 valves, noisy and dependable

I am on my 6th Dodge Cummins Diesel puckup truck. I tow heavy in the mountains of the west and would NEVER consider a gasoline powered truck for my load-useage. The new truck 2013 Ram 3500 is bone stock and tows better than my modified 2004 3500, also gets better fuel economy.

Heck, I even went to a diesel car 10 years ago and have never looked back. My husband did read an article somewhere that said once a person has one diesel vehicle that is what they tend to buy after the first. I certainly cannot imagine going back to gas to tow!
