Hoping someone can help me. I just brought home my very first living quarters horse trailer! Trying to go through all the manuals that came in a large black Lakota file bag. There was a part that is slightly flexible and I have absolutely no idea what it is or what it is used for. Complete newbie! There was also small bag of attachments with it as well. I will try and post the picture of it and praying someone can help me. I sincerely apologize if this is an annoying question. I am thinking it has something to do with propane but I am probably way off. Thanks for any help!!

It is curious. Does it look like something flows thru it? Or some sort of antenna?

That looks like a flexible 1/4" drive extension.

If your trailer has a slide, I believe it's to move the slide in cases when the slide motor fails to operate. You would hook that piece to a drill.

Hornet and Trailman. I think you nailed it. It is definitely a 1/4 drive extender! I will look at the slide manual to see how it works. Thank you sooo much! Now just have to figure out what the small bag of accessories belongs to. You all were great!

Trail Man is on it. It is the tool to manually move the slide.

Or to raise/lower the hydraulic jack in event of a power failure to the jack. Our old trailer had that 1/4" extension that you threaded thru the jack power head cover to a drive that allowed you to move the jack.

It was a pain to try to use. The only time I tried, it was easier to just use jumper cables from the vehicle battery to the dead trailer batteries. Than we just used the electric button on the jack..

Still having issues trying to figure out what is used for. I have no info on the slide in my manuals. The Jack has a hex shaped tool that works for manual (I think) I am going to call the dealer and ask. I am slightly intimidated by all the "stuff" on this trailer. Kind of missing my plain dressing room trailer. I don't want to mess anything up. :( I think this forum is going to become my new best friend. You guys rock!!!!
