Looking for a step that we can add to or under the rear door to have better access for a shorter person to get her butt in and out of the rear tack with less trouble.  Like the ones seen on 4 Star and higher dollar brands.

How about a simple folding step?

I have the same problem but most steps that you add on wouldn't fit under my trailer not to mention I have aluminum and the aftermarket ones were not aluminum. I bought the plastic mounting block steps and use them for getting in and out my camper door of my living quarters and also to get in and out of the tack compartment in the rear and...a multitude of other things such as putting up my high line, washing the truck, just to name a few.

We have something close to what ya'll listed.  We are using a 2 step poly type step right now and moving in it in and out of the rear tack when needed.  I am wanting to add a step that I can either bolt on or have welded on in place of the rubber bumper on the tack side.  The ones I have seen just flip downe when needed and flip them up when not using them.

I have wanted this for a while, too. If you can come up with a design, a metal fabricating shop would be able to make it for you, I just can't think up the perfect design. This is what I want it to do: it would be hinged; attach inside the door of the rear tack & swing down over the lip of the tack floor; a little smaller than a regular trailer step, but sturdy.

Hard to see this picture but I found this on ebay.com item number 261228823771   This one I think would work great for me but I do not see it being worth $240.....  Like you said I am getting a fab shop next door to me to work me a price with these measurements and see what he can come up with.
