I have found a couple trailers I am interested in, but I found the Twi-Lite Saratoga and it's really intriguing. However, my tow vehicle is an issue. I have a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 5.7L HEMI engine. This is the same engine and transmission that is in the Ram 1500 and 2500-- but my wheelbase is 110".According to the dealer, the Twi-Lite is 2700lbs empty (give or take 50lbs). The total trailer length is 18'6".I am a little worried that this trailer is going to be too much for my Jeep. I plan to mostly haul just my one horse, who is 1050lbs on a fat day, plus his gear (2 english saddles , trunk of supplies, 30 gallons of water). I anticipate the fully loaded weight with my horse + stuff to be 4200lbs or so.My Jeep is factory equipped with the tow package and is rated for 7200lbs. Additionally, I have an Equalizer hitch assembly (10k lbs) and a Prodigy P3 brake controller though I have been considering upgrading the controller to an OBDII model instead of accelerometer.A couple questions:1. Is this too much trailer?2. If so, see below for other models under consideration.3. Should I upgrade the controller if I am going with a trailer this heavy, and is it possible to convert the braking system to hydraulic for better reliability/braking power to increase the safety margin?I don't want to overload myself or do anything dangerous, but I am not in the position to run out and buy a $30k 3/4 ton truck when I have this paid-for $47k Jeep sitting around that serves many other purposes for our family.Other models under consideration are:Kingston Classic Elite (all-aluminum, 2300lbs, 2H, no dress)Calico 2h stock combo (14', fixed dress wall, roughly 2580lbs)
