I've been trying to find information on a circle j trailer I was looking at its a 3 horse with a 9 foot short wall but I don't know if its aluminum or steel or what the dry weight would be on it. We have 3500 single rear wheel truck so don't want a huge steel trailer. Does any one know much about the Circle j trailers? Thanks

LOTS of circle J trailers around here in CA. All seem really nice riding, and most of the folks are also campers, so lots of miles, and lots of back roads. The other make we have a lot of here is Trails West, and Classic Trailers, but Classic went out of business a couple years ago, although they built a fine trailer.

Funny you say about the Classic trailers as I have one myself. They are a nice trailer. All aluminum with the fiberglass roof. Trails West makes a nice steele trailer but those puppies are heavy from what I hear and read. I like the Circle J trailers too. Lots of Logan trailers around too. They look nice and well built. The newer ones seem to have a good paint job. Logans are all steele and or steele with aluminum skin

I still have my 1974 Circle J. I don't haul with it anymore, but that was one tough trailer. Had a 1994 Circle J until I totaled it a few years ago. (no horse on board) It was also a tough trailer that we hauled all over the country. Have always liked them. Not sure how many changes the company has gone thru over the years but I'd buy another

I'm not sure what model, I haven't got a chance to look at it yet because it a ways away from where we live. The year is a 2007. I've heard they have fiberglass roofs, not sure I like that part.

I miss my fiberglass roof. SO much cooler, and never had any issue with them. My 1974 still has a water tight roof, that has survived some Texas hail storms etc

I did not think about it being cooler just thought it would be more prone to cracks and leaking but that is a good point. Does any body have circle j living quarters trailers?

I used to have a circle J. A 2001 BP 2- horse slant load with the fiberglass roof. I loved it. Yes, the temp difference is 20 degrees cooler in a trailer with this kind of roof as opposed to aluminum roof for sure. No leaks either as it is one piece roofing with no seams

heres the deal I own a 2006 Circle J LQ w/slide out, this trailer was taken back to manufacture to fix the nose due to thin steel used and bending of the trailer. Yes, they redid the nose w/thicker steel but did not fix the bow in the trailer so now i cant open the side door. Slide out is crap continue to fix it all the time. Not a trailer i would get again and with them being out of Business filed bankrupt be careful what you buy. I pull my trailer 12ft short wall with a 3500 dodge no dually just fine. Just be aware to check for cracks with fiberglass top that will show you if it is bowing.

I have a 2005 Circle J Mirage LQ with slide as well. My unit flexes near the gooseneck area and the aluminum side walls in the bunk area bows out on each side about one inch. Did yours do the same? Unfortunately I just bought this trailer yesterday from a dealership in Dewey and did not notice the bending issue until I paid for it and loaded the unit on my hitch. Owner of the dealership implied it was nothing and said not to worry about it. I feel pretty lousy right now as everyone I've talked to said that is a serious structural issue which could be catastrophic. Have you taken your trailer to any local trailer companies to get fixed or modified to work properly? Do you have any advice? The roof has no cracks, but the skin bows when loaded...Did the fix by circle J stop the progression of the bowing or did the repair have absolutely no effect?
