Opinions please - I am considering two used 3 horse trailers with LQ, similar in price at $22.000. The Bison is a 2004, the KB a 2009. The Bison has an 8' shortwall LQ, the KB a 6". We will be pulling with a Ford F250 diesel. We pull primarily on highway, mostly hauls of 3 to 4 hours with occasional trips of 10 to 15 hours. We camp at all of these competitions. I am looking to upgrade from our two horse bumper pull, which is a still very useful 95 All American, primarily to be able to camp in comfort instead of in a tent.
I have read some bad reviews about the quality of the the Bisons and the concern about the steel/aluminum combo, and I know the KB are generally well built trailers - the Bison however has much nicer LQ. and some other nice features that have me leaning that way. That said, I don't want to make a $22,000 mistake! Any advice would be welcome - I'm torn! Thanks.

The only point I'll make here is you can get a '13 Bison steel/slum combo 3H with 8' shortwall for 25-26K. So 22 for one that old doesn't make sense to me.

we have had 2 of the newer Bisons and I think they are a good trailer for the money and we pull alot of miles and have had no more problems with them than the other brands, all trailers take some maintance. The only reason we are on our 2nd one was that we went bigger.
