Yeah about the polo part, I've grown up around the polo world and have seen a lot of trailers but this one takes the cake on length and durability. Its about 50 ft long, at one point was set up with 4 axles and air brake. currently the 4th axle is missing. It doesn't have a VIN number, so trying to figure out make/model/year has been a constant up hill battle.

look for axle make/model and any tag numbers then contact maker. also if you can decide on a make contact manufacturer---probably and stamped # some place that will reference the VIN.....unfortunately unlike cars, trailers have no federal standards so marking them is up to the maker...as little or as much as they wish--check under the goose neck area????
Where did you get it? IF it can be ID'd contact your state DOT they probably have vehicle ID investigators who will restamp and license it for you.
good luck these can be a real bitch to ID and track....

Like Hornet stated...if that trailer is 50 feet long...you MAY encounter legal problems hauling it on some roads...:(

I thought so too. I live in Central Kansas and they are really strict on DOT and such but most State Troopers I've ran into thought me pulling it with my 97 F350 Powerstroke was impressive especially down the highway at 65/70 mph.

I thought there had to be a serial number somewhere but so far Ive looked everywhere except for the roof. I took it to PJ trailers in Wichita and they were real confident that they could track it down but after a week of searching they couldn't track any info down. As far as titling and tagging it goes I just use the info off of our 40ft Stock trailer and I figured it would work till they caught me.

I bought it from an old farmer on the side of the turnpike, It was abandoned in a field and he said when he bought the land it was sitting there. I thought I could pull up with my 96 Chevy Kodiak, check the tires and go. Man was I wrong it had sunk to the hubs on the axles and was in a slightly wet field so after two hours of digging my Kodiak out of ruts I went back home and grabbed my f350 for the 4x4. I got it out at 2am and hit the road. Believe it or not but I was in the middle of south Wichita and had no lights nor any idea if it was going to make it home. The voyage began and in about 5 minutes I got pulled over by 3 State troopers, After bullshitting and trying to fix the lights in the Quiktrip parking lot they gave me a 40 mile police escort through town. I felt like the president . They tried writing me a temporary permit for a farm use trailer and couldn't gather the info needed. Now if I get pulled over they check my lights and ask how I got it tagged then either follow or lead me wherever im going.
