I have a 26 month old fridge that has died and of course the warranty ran out at 24 months. At first it was cooling the freezer only then we left the house to go camping and hooked up and nothing. It would not even cut the light on in the fridge.I have looked at  the diagram and check fuses and made sure it has power for the plug. I called the dealership that is in another state that was no help. I called the Lakota manufacture and they were no help either they gave me a couple of names of repair shops. On the diagram it has a few fuses that are not in sight how are you suposed to check them if you cant get too them. I hate to tear the thing out of the wall, but I am about to take a sledge hammer to it. I hate to pay a repair guy $100 to just change a fuse if thats all that it is. How dangerous would it be to take it out of the wall to check the fuses that are hidden?????

If the inside light won't light, check to make sure you have 12V power going to it.  The inside light operates on 12V and nothing will work until you have 12V power hooked up, regardless of being on propane or 110V electric.

You need to verify that you are actually getting 12V to the refridgerator.  12V connection is easily accessible from the outside with vent cover removed.  It should be on the lower left side as you are looking at it from the outside.

Pull the vent/panel off outside the trailer and make sure all of the "dillys" are plugged in the connections. There are several small plug type things that should be connected. These can and do wiggle loose from time to time.

OK I got the verdict. I had to take it to someone who actually knew what they were doing. It turned out the fuse connector was shot that was $25 and the heating eliment didn't work either so that was $75. I was lucky that I was only billed for 1 hour labor. I dont think the heating eliment has ever worked because I had to run it on gas all the time so atleast now I can save some gas. I tired to get help with that when we first got the trailer, but the trailer company said the trailer must not be level  & thats why it had to run on gas all the time.  Of course none of this was covered under warranty because it went out in June.
