I am considering purchasing a 2008 C&C trailer, gooseneck, technically a 2+1 setup but owner says she has hauled 4 horses easily. Full divider in middle of trailer, front and side ramps, bus windows with bars, dressing room. She has it listed at $20,000. Does anyone have any experience with these trailers? Can't find much information about them online, and I understand that the company has gone out of business. I was trying to find out if this year would have rubber torsion axles, but owner was not sure-anyone know? From pictures, it looks like it has been well maintained and lightly used. Will be used mainly for hauling horses for our therapeutic riding program. Thanks!Sam

My wife has one of those 2+1s...a very well built trailer...the only thing you'll replace over the life of the trailer, besides tires...are the plastic/nylon(?) disks that are riveted under the various lock bars......the front area is a box stall arrangement...and that's where she hauls all her wood chips and hay when going to dressage shows...I would NOT put two high value horses in the box stall...but that's just me...:-)

We own 2 C&C's, a 1998 2 horse LQ and a 1999 4horse LQ and we love them both. Very well made, both have held up well. Had a 2 horse 4Star and loved it too! The C&C's are constructed almost identically as the 4Star.

I agree. We have a 2001 C&C 4 Horse w 7' shortwall and rear tack room - All aluminum. It's been a very great trailer - pulls great and it's quiet.
The only issue is the ramp weight - 1 spring is broke, and it's a bit heavy, but acceptable.
If the trailer exterior is a bit dull, look for a local Blue Beacon Truck wash and have them do their aluminum wash - it will look like new in about 10 minutes.
