I am looking for recommendations on which brand of trailer tire to put on my LQ. Currently I have Continental HTR on there 215/r75 17.5 (this is a 5horse 15'LQ Shadow). I am trying to decipher all the information that I have found..can anyone help?
Do I want Bias or Radial?
Should I go up a size? I have 8000# axles (2)..I REALLY don't want underrated tires on there.
From what I can tell these size tires are all "trailer" tires, not LT like I keep seeing mention. Do I want to consider something other then a trailer tire?

Stick with the RADIAL, those tires you have on the trailer now are probably 16 ply lr "H" rated at 4806# at 125 psi. each.
It pays to shop around... Wish some of my bigger trailers ran 17.5 tires. Alot of guys in my area are running Hankook and Double Coin brand tires and having really good service out of them. If the Continental HTR's have served you well, then you may want to go back with the same....
