Has anyone updated their electric brakes with the Dexter "Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake"?

The manufacturer makes some claims about them being longer lasting, offering increased braking abilities, lower maintenance etc. I was wondering if these claims were true in real world usages.

I need to replace and update the brakes in my trailer. If these truly are better, they would enhance the present mediocre brakes that are now installed.

Thank you for any advice you may offer.            Gard

I did some work on a friends trailer that had self adjusting brakes (8k axles)...and when I tried to pull the drums, I had to back the adjusters off. Asked them when the last time they were adjusted. She said never had touched them. The trailer probably had 50-60k miles on it.

They are like a auto drum brake, which are getting more and more rare. You have to stop in reverse multiple times you actuate the self adjust mechanism. So if you have a highway queen, know that.
