When Outlaw did my interior I tried to get them to install at least 160w of solar panels on the roof,. They would only do a 60w. So After a year without I sprung for 180w of panels and a Blue Sky controller. I did the install myself and it looks really good Today was the first full day of sun,BIG charging going on, so far I am really happy. Will see how this all works on our 6week Montana run..

What was the reason they gave for not wanting to install the larger solar panel? I also would be interested in results and costs of 60 watt panel. also what make of panel? tks

My setup came from Wholesale Solar in california. Seem like good folks to deal with. I have $1000 in the parts, it took me the better part of a day and 1/2 to do the install nicely. Outlaw did not really give a good reason for not offering a larger panel array. From previous rigs and our camping lifestyle I figured that 180w is about our minimum for proper charging.

It's funny how trailer manufacturer's act when you ask them about solar. I'm getting ready to have a new trailer built and asked about it. Not sure the industry has caught up with the need. They all seem to say they can do it but then never get you a price.
I'm going to install a Sunforce 15 watt and controller because I only need it for a 12V application.
