The tail lights work, but the right side brake & turn signal does not work on my 03 Sundowner bp.  Does the light fixture need replacing or could there be something else going on?  It does the same w/ different trucks.  Thanks in advance for your help.

You have a wiring problem.  The brake wire and turn signals are independant from each other.  That they both don't work is a coincidence

Ditto that...and the first place to check that wiring is in the trailer plug...

When I look at my trailer, the brake light and signal light are the same element in the lamp.  It could be a wiring problem or the lamp.  I would start at the light with a test light to see if there was current available for the signal.  If there is not current present, check at the trailer plug.  It's a process of finding the area of the current loss.  The typical plug connections are shown at:

The way I read SillyFilly55 post is that the right brake light and turn light doesn't work, which use the same wire, my guess she need to replace the light.

Since it is the same with both trucks, I'd look to the bulb first. Easy way to check is swap lightbulbs from left to right. If it is the bulb, you will replace the entire red oval asembly. Available at any trailer place, most NAPA & Carquest stores.
