Is this a DIY job? Does anyone have a recommendation of where to purchase the fabric? I have a 19' Dometic 8300 series currently that is just flaking apart...

Well, as it turns out, the fabric is 18'...but I'll watch ebay - hadn't thought about them. Is that something that I can replace myself (or with a helper)?

Yes, it is possible to replace just the awning fabric. We ordered it from rvpartscountry.com. The web site is very specific in telling you how to measure to get the correct size.

Thank you - just looking at their website! So, HOW HARD was it to replace? And how mechanically inclined do you have to be? I'm fairly handy, but not EXTREMELY...what do you think?

If you go to any RV dealer they will sell you just the awning part no the whole thing, They run around 3-4 hundred its still cheaper than buying a whole new unit.
