I have an 84 Heacock 2 horse that was purchased with P225 75r15 tires. Obviously I need to upgrade to the ST225. Here are my questions.1.) If the wheels are stock, and by all means they appear to be, the ST225 tire should fit on fine, correct? And the PSI difference will not affect the stock rim? I am assuming the stock rim is MEANT to withstand a ST225 tire specs?2.) I am having a difficult time finding anything but E load range on the ST225. Again, how will this affect the stock rim? It looks as if I should be seeking a C load range tire? I will be hauling relatively short distances (>100miles round trip) with mostly 1 horse. 2 horse hauls will literally be a 15 mile, flat road haul. Trailer weight is #2000, each horse small tb's >1100 each.I want to take the P225 off and put ST225 on - just need to know easiest route to do so.

Safety is first, of course. Having that said I have a much better price on the E load range tires at this point. So if I am able to, I would like to just put those on however it seems the PSI will be too much for the rim to handle? If the rim is meant for a C class range PSI.

What brand is this ST225/75x15 lr"E" tire...? A Carlisle, Denman, Towmaster or Maxxis maybe? Really no need for an E tire on a trailer that size unless you're wanting to beat your horses legs off... Light weigh + high trailer tire pressure = really rough ride. Your rims are probably good for 50 psi. Most "P" tires that size run a maximum pressure of 44 psi... Your tire guy should know.
