Wonder how much more a 12' trailer would weigh over a 10' with same acessories, same brand aprox. Built bassically same way.  Mfg. no longer is business so cant call them.  Dont want to exceed GVW of towing vehicle. And would a Ford Ranger 4x4 (3000 towilng capacity I think) be safe just to tow it home.  Dont want to take larger truck as I have to drive a long distance to get it. I have towed the 10' several times, empty with no problems.  (use a heavier vehicle when loaded) I never weighed the 10' , but I figure 2000 to 2500.

Not sure about a BP trailer, but a GN Exiss with an additional stall (aprox 3" longer) weighs ~300# more. We have a friend who regularly pulled a 2H BP with the Ranger 4D short bed variant, with no problems other than long grades which slowed her down a bit.

The main construction materials will determine the weight of the trailer. Unless you are comparing like trailers, trying to measure the weight of one by comparison to another brand may be difficult.

I don't think you'll have a problem with an empty trailer, unless you live in the western mtn states. Make sure your tires are properly aired to lower your trailer's rolling resistance.
