At a show where its l00+ and my LQ is hooked up at the camping site.  Last night,  AC went  off, then back on, then back off, then back on, and finally stayed on.  But can't rely on this, and have dogs that need to stay in trailer.  Very worried!    NEED AC!!!  What would cause this?  Have  a Hart LQ.

Low voltage.  Try connecting to a different circuit.  Use the heaviest and shortest extension cord.  Check the plug connections.  Are they warm to the touch?  The receptacles might be bad too.

When was the last time your filters and cooling fins were cleaned?

I meant to add that the breaker in the trailer was tripping on and off making the trailer's AC go on and off.  The problem has been reported to the show office, but they said they haven'thad any complaints about people losing power!  HUMMM!   So far, its been staying on, but with this heat, and the 2 dogs in there, it has to be checked every hour to make sure its still on.  Not easy to do while showing.   Can't plug in to another circuit.  All are filled up (huge show - Reichert Celebration).  Thanks everyone for your help.

Circuit breakers trip for three main reasons...1.) Overloaded Circuit 2.) Short Circuit 3.) Ground Fault

Thank you so  much for your reply.  We turned everything else off in the trailer, to make sure there wasn't an overload.  This was at l2 midnight when it started shutting off, a period when most other "campers" wouldn't be at the height of their electricity use.   But so far its stayed on.

I was just showing there last week. The RV office should be able to move you to a different site. If not, ask them to have the electrician on duty to please check your power source. If their side checks out ok, they have a name of a RV service guy that comes there regularly. It is on the flyer with all the other RV parks in the area listed along with the sewer suckers.

I had that happen to me a few years ago but mine turned out to be a dirt dobbers nest on my unit. Easy fix for me , hope yours is as simple.

An a/c compressor will draw more power than normal in several situations. This will cause a circuit breaker to trip under load

High head pressure: Caused by not enough heat being released by the system... clogged dirty condensor coils... high outside air temperature... bad fan or something blocking air flow (even a high wind blowing in the opposite direction of the fan's )

Other sort of high head pressure is trying to restart the compressor before the internal pressure of the system has bled off. I suspect this is what you experianced. For some reason the CB tripped while the compressor was running. You immediately tried to restart it, but the compressor was then trying to start with the pressure against it. It tripped again, and again until the pressure bled off. If this happens again, don't restart for 10 - 15 minutes or just run the "fan only" for 5 minutes before trying for cooling again.

Thanks so much for your help.    At Reichert, (Ft. Worth) all camper spots are filled, so no moving to another spot.  The show office said they haven't had any complaints with power outages!

Just keeping fingers crossed everything keeps working (or dogs will be cooked!!!???!!!)  Checking the trailer every hour to make sure the AC is still running.  Will it ever cool off in TEXAS!!!!!!!!!!

We were at Will Rogers Colosseum last weekend and I can positively tell you they have a voltage problem out in the parking lot.
I had the same problem with my AC. Monitored voltage and amperage, raised a little ruckus and got moved over by the show barns where the voltage was in acceptable range.

I always try my best to get there in time to park inside the main fence beside the swine barn  fence. I feel safer not having to cross Harley  at all hours of the night. That lot starts with RV #1
