I need to repaint a door that was scratched by a horse, does anyone know where I can get a paint code for a 2001 C&C - White ?  It does not appear to be pure white.

Also, anyone KNOW why C&C went out of business ?

Thanks.

Those doors are baked on paint over aluminum and are hard to paint. A touch up white pen might be your best bet, than buff to blend it in. C&C went bankrupt, the owner didn't die.

If you have any paint suppliers available, that provides products to the automotive repair business, (body shops etc), they may have a full spectrum colour scanner. This is a portable devise that will allow them to match any paint colour. In addition, many of these suppliers can then load their products into rattle spray cans. This way they can sell you smaller amounts, and negate the problem of needing spray equippment. Some of the better body shops also utilise this devise.

The area that will be painted should be lightly sanded and completely cleaned with a degreaser before any paint is applied. Proper preparation is necessary when you recoat aluminum.

Your other option would be to paint it a contrasting color...would help to find your trailer in a crowd...

There was a thread on here last year, can't find it now. But the owner of C&C died, and the wife couldn't run the business so the doors shut.

Must be having a brain fart. But I remember a trailer manufacturer... (maybe a dealer) that had to close it doors and lay off the staff when the husband passed away. I'm not on many forums either. Oh well, I recant my statement.

4 star trailer sued c-c for copyright infringement

4 star got the judgement

c-c could not make the payments on the judgement.  Slow trailer sales because of the economy

c-c had to close there doors

The only lawsuit I'm aware of is this one...
In one case, 4-Star Trailers filed a lawsuit against C&C Trailers of Oklahoma City alleging the company had infringed on the 4-Star patent. That lawsuit was later settled out of court on undisclosed terms. (But this was back in 1998.)

not sure how bad your scratches are - would some creative vinyl artwork like a horse head or something be easier?
would love to paint my '01 c&c -the previous owners left it outside 24/7? so far the cheapest price was $3k.
