When I got my trailer 6 years ago it had a 12v fan that at one time had a cigarette lighter end. It was cut off and wired direct, it's been too long since I took that out after it stopped working. Now I have 2 fans I would like to wire to a two pole switch I put in at the back of the trailer. I figured this way I can have the fans switch on and if I need it I can just flip a switch after they are loaded.Can I still wire these newer fans directly? I unscrewed the end and saw one wire is black the other gray with the fuse. I thought the wire with the fuse was hot but definately needed to hear it from someone who is more electrical than I am. Though I'm having fun learning this stuff. Hopefully I don't melt anything!
