I need to re-seal the roof on my steel trailer. I tired it once, but didn't do a very good job (that's what I get for sealing while drinking a margarita!). Eternabond looks like it will work well. Has anyone tried it over steel? I plan to remove the old sealant, clean the area, dry, and the apply the tape. Any other advice?

The only color I've seen is white. Can you paint over it? My trailer is dark blue, and I actually don't care if there are white stripes on the roof, but I might paint the roof white some day. Maybe I don't need to worry about it. It's a good question, anyway.
