Has anyone camped out or rode the trails at Hamms creek around Cleburn, Tx.? Would like to know what the trails are like. We took a drive out to see it and it seems to be more for boating and fishing. Would appreciate any info before we trailor.

We have ridden out there one time. It is my new favorite place to ride, in the cold weather. This is a great place for endurance building, not for the squimish. The trails are short, and goes up in the hills, excellent for working a new horse, getting them tired. One trail goes down by the river, then almost straight up in the hills. Lots of little deer like trails that just take off the main trails. Because of the terrain, I like it for winter riding as I would not like to run up on the rattlers. There are two signs at the parking area saying snake area.
Not too impressed with the camping area, no shade trees, but all in all, close to home, friendly people, and cheap riding.
