please note that the lovely wooly seat cover that is cool in the summer and warm in the winter and gives a nice bit of soft coosh where you need it also turns into a sponge when it rains.

Only time I ever got one wet, was when my horse went down in deep water crossing a swift stream. We frequently ride in the rain. Unless it's a bad thunderstorm we just keep on move'n. If it is bad lightning then we'll seek shelter, but never from simple rain. Never had one get wet from rain.

I give it two thumbs up. I get real sore if I ride a lot and the REAL sheepskin pads prevent that.
I got mine from Freedom Rider years ago. Freedom Rider at the time had equipment that helped people who had disabilities to be able to ride. Don't know if it is still in existence but have seen the sheepskin other places.

Here's another yes vote to the sheepskin seat cover. When I rode in a western saddle it was the only thing that would keep my rump bones from getting sore.
I currently have a memory foam seated saddle and while it is extremly comfy, I miss the warmth of the wool in the winter.
