The interior measures 7' 2" tall, the stalls are 33" wide and 7' 6" long. I've never had a gooseneck OR a slant load, are those good dimensions for the stalls? I don't have huge horses but I want them to be comfortable.
What do you all think of mangers like this trailer has?
Does anyone have opinion on Barrett trailers? If we purchased this trailer what truck would we need to safely tow it? I always heard you should pick the trailer you want, then get a truck. Does everyone agree with this?

I think the stalls should be 39" (3'3"): 33" would be really small. 39-40" should be fine for avg horses. Some trailer come in at 42-43" and other at 50" (draft/wmbld ones....that's the size we are shooting for with our next trailer, but I ride a draft)

Barrett makes a good trailer. They mostly build trailers for 18 wheelers. But they have built trailer for several private manufactures ( Like Nichols). The trailers I've seen have held up well and been solidly built.

Barret is a solid built trailer! Would remeasure the stall for sure 33" is SMALL! My opinion on mangers is I will never have another trailer for my personal use without them. You can never have enough storage.
As far as the truck, all depends on what brand you are interested in. I would say at least a 3/4 ton- GM's a with a 6.0 gas or diesel engine, Dodge I would only go with the diesel unless you can find a 02 or older with a 5.9 gas engine (and a gas card to go with it), Fords either the V/10 or diesel, (no 5.4) Better to have a little more truck and engine, save on wear and tear.
