At least, once a year...service the wheel bearings, jack up the trailer, remove the tire from the hub, remove the dust cap on the hub, remove the spindle nut and pull the hub free from the spindle. The outer bearing will lift out of the hub, and the inner bearing can be removed after the rear grease seal is removed. Thoroughly clean each bearing and the inside of the wheel hub with parts solvent to remove all the old grease. Clean the axle spindle on the trailer. Pack new wheel bearing grease into the bearings, replace the rear bearing into the hub, install a new rear grease seal and then reinstall the hub, the outer bearing, the spindle nut and dust cap.

They sent me an owner's manual FAST! That was nice. Unfortunately all the wheel bearing section said is that they should be inspected and repacked every 12 months. I am going to tackle it today with your instructions. Thank you!

Before you jump into tearing down those hubs and repacking........that expert missed a key component to the operation. To remove that nut from the spindle you need to determine if it is held by a cotter key or a TANG washer. That tang washer, if equipped, is not something to mess with should you not know what you are doing. First off, the real experts and the manufacturers, say do not reuse a tang washer. Also replacing that rear seal is simple but you need the right seal to fit the spindle and the hub. Having the correct parts available is key to getting this done right. Good Luck.
