I'm looking at a 2004 Cimarron Norstar bumper pull sl three horse. They are firm at $13,000. It looks in excellent condition from the pictures, but is a several hour drive to look at it in person. I'm not familiar with Cimarron, so I was curious if this model had any major issues.  Any information would be appreciated.

We bought a 2009 Cimarron Norstar 3H BP for doing day trips and have had no problems with it hauling two horses.  It is well constructed with excellent fit and finish.  Pulls nice although we pull with an F350 dually so there is no power shortage.  Bought it new from Finnegan's in northern IL.

Don't know about the '04, but the been around friend's gooseneck trailers which are '05, '06, '08 and own an '09 with absolutely no problems with any of them. There was a post a month or so ago about the nose pulling off a gooseneck on here that you might do a search for.

I can't find it here, but there have been threads about models in that era with roof problems. The roof material was purchased elsewhere, and delaminated. Warranty available only to original purchaser I understand. Just look closely.

Rest assured; your looking at an excellent product.  The Cimmaron is one of the "heavy weights" in the horse trailer industry.  You will love the trailer.  It will last you a long, long time.

Thanks for everyone's input.

The seller has said the roof is aluminum...I have seen on other threads Cimarron has a composite roof...do they have both depending on what year?

If it has an aluminum roof, there has been some action taken already for it. It came from the factory with the composite.
