Need to purchase the brake assembly for the above trailer. How do I go about finding a part number, etc. Will be replacing all wheels. Thanks in advance.

I think it's about as easy to remove the hub....measure the diameter of the brake drum, and measure the width of the shoes. You'll probably find a Dexter logo in there somewhere. But with those dimensions and the number of mounting bolts...most suppliers can get you into the correct parts. 2 rights, 2 lefts

Your trailer should have a placard posted on it some where that shows the axle ratings.

Check the size of your drums. Mine are 12" x 2".  With the axle rating and the drum size just about any parts house can get you the correct replacement assemblies.   Don't worry about replacing just the shoes. Get the whole assembly.   It will usually be 4 or 5 bolts that you undo and replace to install the new brake assembly.

I found my local auto parts store was just about as cheap as any of the mail order discount part dealers and he had the parts in 2-3 hours after I ordered them.

I checked the wheels and they are 6 bolt wheels, so I am under the impression that they will be 12" brake assemblies?

Not necessarily. What is the bolt pattern of the 6 lugs. Do yo uhave 15" wheels or 16" wheels?

They are 15" wheels, and the trailer guy in town seems to think they are 10" probably. I'm guessing I would buy the 10 x 2-1/4" not the 10 x 1-1/2? I have a good friend installing them for me, so don't want to take it apart yet ;unless I have to.
