I am planning on buying either a Bison or Lakota all aluminum 14-16 ft SW 3H trailer.  Same basic price.  Very nice trailers by photo.   Both have slide outs.  Both have similar extra options:ducted air/furnace, oven, porcelain toilets, dual hydraulic jacks, etc.  Based on your experience and experiences of others you know, which would you recommmend and why?  Thanks for your help!

I like my Lakota very well.  It is a 2007 10 foot SW 4 horse no slide.  Got it new in 2008 and have had no issues with it at all.

let us know what you decide...a friend just bought his 2nd 14' sw bison - upgraded to the stratus with a slide - and he told me the lakota was in the running and almost got first place because he liked the bathroom layout better. bigger sink area etc. he ended up with the bison because it has a midtack and he liked the extra storage.

I'm on my second Bison..I like them.. I now have a 10ft two horse with a midtack. My first was a three horse 8 foot living quarters... They are dependable. I never worried about something not working. And I'm an older gal who pulls alone. Not saying there is anything wrong with a Lakota... Seems like alot of times it's a peeing contest on what's better.. It's what works for you... I go only in the summer and don't go more than 400 miles from home... So for the dollar amount a Bison was my choice.... I am impressed with the new upgrades on the bison. Being the window design and the sofas... Nice..... With fuel prices so high I'm now wondering if I can go this summer.. I maybe camping in my front yard..

We purchased a Lakota Bighorn model in Nov. So far, we love it. It has a huge, flush floor slide and dealing with them was great. Ours is a 13H w/12ft LQ. I loved the layout of the 14ft LQ but we decided not to go to a larger trailer but a smaller one (even if only by 1 ft either way). The bathroom layout is the best we have seen in any LQ trailer. Good luck!
