My friend owns a 87 Trigg gooseneck trailer. For those unfamiliar with the brand, it has a fiberglass shell with very little steel framework on the walls and ceiling. She is wanting to insulate this trailer and is considering her options. I suggested the foam spray-in that could be white and wouldn't require any kind of wall covering over it. She has also looked at the foil insulation that looks like bubble wrap. The nose of this trailer is round. My concern is with the lack of framework in this trailer, what are the options for covering the walls if the foil is used? There's not enough frame to fasten furring strips to the walls. She could drill thru the walls and bolt furring strips to the walls, but then you would be putting holes in the shell and prob develop leaks. Any suggestions????? Also, if she used the "bubblewrap" insulation, what would be a good adhesive to attach it to the fiberglass walls?

Do not drill holes through the walls. You can glue furring strip to the inside walls using a polyurethane construction adhesive. Then you can add the foil insulation between the strips, glueing the insulation on the outside of the curves of the nose. Normally the instructions for this insulation indicate a spacing of 3/4" between the foil and the nearest surface, which would be the outside wall. Many LQs have been installed using these products, with no apparent problems without the indicated spacing.
Polyurethane adhesive can also be used with the foil insulation. Or the foil can be held into place with various tapes. In addition, the foil can be stapled to the inside face of the furring strips. The few small holes the staples make, will not result in any major breaks in the moisture barrier formed by the insulation.
Any inside surface can then be affixed over the insulation, to the furring strips.
