Does it matter which stall is used when there`s only 1 horse in a 3 horse slant load?  For instance is it safe to use just the rear stall leaving the others empty or with gear?

I`m thinking of things like the balance of the trailer and how weight would affect it in any bad weather.  Thanks!

It didn't say if you have a gooseneck or a bumper pull trailer.   I use the middle stall with my 3 h gooseneck.  But I wouldn't be afraid to put one horse in any stall with a gooseneck trailer.

I`m using a bumperpull.  My tow vehicle isn`t a truck so I don`t have the option of getting a GN.

In a 3HBP trailer, a single horse will ride well in the center stall. Both trailer axles will help carry the weight which is more evenly distributed. The trailer will maintain enough tongue weight to pull properly, and you will not over weight the towing vehicle.

With a single horse in the front stall, you can end up with unnecessary hitch weight, that will do little to improve its towing. A single horse should not be placed behind the axles. This will unload the tongue and can cause the trailer to sway uncontrollably.

On most GN trailers, you can load the horse in any of the spots without any towing problems. However, as was previously stated with the BP, the center position will allow both axles to evenly carry most of the weight, whilst adding little additional weight to the hitch.

May I ask what you are towing with if you don't have a truck?   Just curious.

Ford E350 7.3L turbodiesel van - it used to be an ambulance but we`ve converted it into a camper, so that`s my LQ!

We normally tow a 24 ft car trailer so my 3H should be no problem.

When I haul 1 horse in teh middle stall of my LG GN the trailer seems to bounce. When I put the horse in the 1st stall it rides much better
