IMO - Flatbed has the single hole that your hitch drops into. Hauler bed will have the drop well to the ball.

Well my opinion a flatbed is the ol style flatbed with no side skirts and a hualer bed has skirted side.  I have a CM SK model bed and CM calls it a skirted flatbed, I call it a hauler bed because it has skirted sides and mine does have the gooseneck trough or well for the gooseneck.  This is well worth the extra money if you do not have an electric jack.  You do not have to raise the trailer as high to hook it up.  With a regular bed without the  trough or gooseneck well you have to raise the trailer up really high to clear the rear edge of the bed.
