I have a 06 cummins and it doesn't blow the warmest air in the world. I put cardboard in front of the grill still not the warmest it has 44,000 miles next thought was the thermostat is going out. Only other thing I haven't checked is the radiator fluid to see what cold it is rated for. North East mt= cold in the winter.

I would check to see what the rating shows first and make sure the radiator is full.  If the above is fine I'm thinking the heater control valve is going bad.  With the truck running and the a/c on move the temp control and see it the air gets hot or just warm.  If just warm then the conteol valve is bad.

Check the recirculation air door in the air box. My 2006 Dodge 1500 didn't warm up, or cool much. I poked around on the internet and found out about this very common problem. What happens is the air door breaks off, falls on top of the blower fan air intake, and blocks the air flow through the HVAC box.
