Any one considering going to the Big South Fork area to ride should really consider Timber Ridge in Jamestown, TN.  We were there Labor Day weekend and can't say enough good things about this place.  They meet you at the barn and while you unload your horses they are cleaning the manure out of your trailer.  They haul your hay and feed to the barn, fill your water buckets and do anything else they can to help you get set up.

They provided smoked pork shoulder on Saturday night and all they asked was that everyone bring a side dish.  There was enough left over that you could have it for lunch the next day!  The bath houses are very clean, they have a washer and dryer available and the stalls are in excellent condition.  There are several trail heads right out of camp and they have a trailer for use if you wish to trailer your horses out to a trail head farther away.  They don't take your money when you first arrive and then forget about you.  Quite the opposite, you pay when you leave and anything you purchase; ice, wood, hats etc... are all on the honor system.  Keep up with what you get and let them know when you check out.  I really hope no one abuses the honor system because the owners really go out of their way to make you feel at home and let you know they appreciate your business.
