While I can't answer your question to worth. One thing to consider is the height of the hitch. I was considering one till I started taking measurements and found I couldn't adjust the hitch low enough to make my trailer ride level. But I do have a medium duty truck which sits taller then most. Just something to take into consideration.

Probably the larger and heavier suspension that you have on your truck; the more important it is to have an "cushioned hitch". We have a couple of customers that pull trailers (mainly LQ's) with semi tractors, and they were beating their trailers to death until they added the hitches. Research types and brands first, as their is a diffenece in price and types.

i have a new hitch - bought from a link posted here. can't remember the name off the top of my head, star hitch maybe? works like a "rocking chair" and supposed to take all of the stress off of the horses from jarring forwards and backwards. i can tell you that it has taken all of the stress off of my neck when driving - if that makes any sense. i have an '08 f350 drw and a heavy all aluminum 12'sw C&C trailer. i would be interested in the air bag type as mentioned to compare the differences but can't afford to have both!
