It was back in 2007 when we did our last HD truck shootout and 2009 when we did the 1/2 tons. I co-write these shootouts and we only do them when we have enough new truck changes in a segment to matter to folks that tow trailers. It's here on the home page in the box in the middle titled "Horse Trailer News." http://www.horsetrailerworld.com/forum/forum-view.asp?forumid=12

We used 9 new trucks and picked 3 catergory winners. Drag raced with trailers, towed up 7 and 16% grades, brake tested, fuel economy tested etc. Lots of graphs and charts, so you can pick what's important in the truck you need and come up with your own top picks. For instance the Dodge 2500 with the Hemi stood out with fuel mileage towing trailers on flat ground, where as the Ford's new 6.2L gas F250 stood out towing a trailer up hill.

Near the end of the long report you'll see my horse trailer which we use to shoot video and pictures from. It took 10 days of driving new trucks to record all the data, 10 days in Michigan in July hooking and unhooking trailers. I was sweating buckets. Much happier back in cool Colorado. Hope to see alot of you folks at Congress, we'll have a booth in the Bricker Annex.
