I have a Trails West Bumper pull and the right side blinker and brake light does not come on however I do have running lights though the right side seems very faded. I was thinking of just replacing the light bulb on both sides anyways but I dont know exactly how to take the cover off properly. If it is just simple to just take the rubber off I would still do it but I want to make sure there isnt another way before something wrong happens. Thanks.

First off, the lights may be sealed, which means replacing the whole unit, no big deal, just pull out of the rubber and pull the plug and plug back in.  Then put the rubber groment back in the hole and push the light back in.  I would first check the trucks plug using a tester, then the trailer plug to see if all the wires are conected.  If you live in an area with the mag cloride for treating ice and to keep dust down on dirt roads look for green gunk on the wires.  The mag is really hard on copper, eats it like a pig at the feed trough

Your running lights and brake/blinker lights are each on their own circuits. So if you have no brake/blinker, there is something wrong with just that circuit and is in no relation to your running light except for the bulb, which it very well could be. I would check inside the trailer plug to make sure all the wires are hooked up and not corroded. If they are corroded, spray some WD-40 on it and scrub lightly with a wire brush. You can put some di-electric grease on each terminal for good measure. It can be found at any auto parts store cheap. I would also check the outside of the trailer plug for corrosion in the sockets as well as the truck side. You can spray them both down with WD-40 as well and push the trailer plug in and pull it out a couple of times to work it loose and get a better connection. I do this each time before I hook up anyway. If the ends aren't corroded, bulbs good and bulb sockets not corroded, truck side checks out okay with a tester, the only option then is to look at the wiring, but I don't think it is a broken or stripped wire. Good luck. Electric gremlins can be a pain.

You might also want to check the fuses on the towing vehicle.
