I am pretty interested in this trailer...fits my price range and close enough to pick up.  Pros, Cons, good price, good trailer?

would say it depends on what you are looking for...I started out with a similar one and have bought 2 bigger ones since...from a 7' shortwall and only 7' wide to a 10' sw that was 8'w and now a 12' sw that is 8'w. I love the extra space, mangers etc. The first one I had with the smaller bathroom - you have to brush your teeth in the kitchen sink - and the trailer you are looking for has the door on the driver's side (see where you plug into city water and electric) - that bugged me since all the cords were in my outdoor living area. Also, no window over the sink - so when you are inside, you can't see your campsite, friend, firepit etc. Price could be a bit high for an 2002 - at least that is what I am hearing...and dealers have told me that the older units are hard to get financed. So that is a worry when you go to resell? Good luck! For $10k more you could buy my 2001 trailer and it has way more space, options (2 awnings, generator etc). It is all in what you want! Happy shopping!

Mike, I think it is a sharp looking trailer..I really like the wood inside.the ...bead board looks awsome, and it  is'nt the same ole, same ole as all the other trailers...  IF it suits you and your needs, what we think is a mute point..

The inside package does look really nice......if you use an ice chest for cold water and cold pop, you might get by pretty good with the small frig.  I like having a walkthru from the LQ to the front stall, but that is me....get what you like and what works for you!

A walk through is a must for me...I think it does, if you look at the pic of the toliet I think you can see an outside door.

More space isn't actually a plus for me, I want to stick with an 8ft short wall so that I still have a 25' ish foot trailer that is easy to get around.  We go to a lot of 4h, open, small rodeo type of deal where space can be at a premium.  Doubt we will ever camp at a true campsite but never thought of that...thanks for bringing it up.

I do like the wood, the couch looks a little stiff but I suppose that is the trade off when it doubles as a mattress.

Looks good, price seems good, I've had the pass thru door to the back can't say I miss it on my new trailer, so personally I wouldn't worry about it, but that's just me. I would make sure the LQ has the RVIA sticker. It looks like a good one but I'd want to make sure it's an approved LQ. Just one more thing, if you spend a lot of time in it, 8' wide makes quite a bit of difference.

For being 8 years old it looks pretty good.  I would see if you can talk them down.  For a little more you could get one thats it much newer.

blackcows, looks good, but try to talk them down if you are a cash buyer.  Anything pre 2005 is harder to sell non cash, as financing is harder to get.

Do you have enough truck to pull it?  With 4 standard horses, it'll be a dually at a minimum.

Trailer looks nice & well kept - I like the interior & floor plan & sounds like it fits your criteria.   I am in the midst of purchasing a 2006 Kiefer 3-horse/slant 10' s/w so I did a lot of research since we do not have a dealer in our area & all the feedback I received about Kiefer was very positive.  If you buy new they come with a 3 yr bumper to bumper warranty/8 year structural which is impressive & I also checked out their website. We camp so we are bumping from a 6' s/w to 10' because we want more living space & lg frig, etc for weeklong trips. You can try to get the price down but you have to decide if it's the right one for you, then get it & enjoy it.  I looked at a lot of trailers/floor plans but when I saw this one, it had everything I would have ordered & then some.  We are travelling 1,000 miles this weekend to get it!  Easter Bunny really came thru this year!

I have a 09 Ram 2500 with a Cummings (not a dually), not worried about it pulling a trailer this size.  It'd be more common in my country to see a single axle pickup pulling a 24' gooseneck trailer stuffed full of cows than to see a dually.
