Ok, give me some ideas on how to go about hanging things on the wall of a LQ trailer...I want to install a mirror on the door leading back into horse area...I want it secure and unmoveable..I sure don't want to open the door and find it shattered on the floor ( 7 yrs bad luck) :(

Also, with the paneling being so thin, what is recommended to use to hang say ,a calander...paneling nail? wood screw ? one of them "peel off" type hooks...

THANKS

I would like to hang some stuff too, but scare to death to drive a nail. The one wall has a pocket door, don't need to nail it open and the other wall the shower is on the other side. Don't need a water leak.

You might try 3M's VHB (Very High Bond) tape. Its the same tape that they use to hold the aluminium siding on trailers. I got mine at NAPA. But you can get it from Grainger or Mcmaster-Carr. Depends on how much you need. Make sure you follow the instructions. The stuff will hold just about anything. But once its on there its almost impossible to take it off. So make sure what your hanging is where you want it. http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/VHB/Tapes/Products/Prod...

My trailer has the mirror screwed through the frame to the door.

I hung some artwork with sawtooth hooks on top and velcro on the bottom. That's how it was done from the factory

VELCRO...thats brilliant!!  the kind that is sticky on one side would work wonders for the small stuff. As for the mirror, I think it might take awhile to find one the right size to fit the door in the bath...odd shape, and I cant go full length as the towel rack and toliet paper holder are also on the door. But the Velcro sounds perfect..THANKS for the idea.  :)

I have had great luck hanging stuff with the hooks with the removable sticky backing by 3M. I wouldn't hang a mirror with it though. My mirrors were installed with some sort of tape that has held up reasonably well. I wish I knew what sort of tape it is. But for hanging stuff on the walls, those 3M hooks are brilliant and not permanent.

I tried the velcro and it worked until winter came. The cold and dryness of winter caused the adhesive to loose it's stickiness and the items fell from the wall. So I now add some gel super-glue to the back of the velcro before sticking it to wall. As other posters have stated, just make sure what you are hanging is where you want it.
