the last time i used my trailer [a month ago] i had nice hot water when i turned it on. this weekend it would barely get luke warm. i could hear the heater ignite and start, the light came on to tell me it was ready. i usually wait an hour or so after the light comes on. well it will get luke warm, barely. i even left it on all day and when i came back in it was just luke warm. great pressure when i turned it on, all of the valves are just the way when it would get hot.

havn't tried to winterize it yet, maybe later this week.

When you said you had pressure, did any air escape when you opened the faucet? If none did, I would suspect a bad thermostat.

Same here on our other trailer, red light no fire!  no light, fire was buring!

Our Sundowner has no light, but you can here it when it starts.  Sounds like a blower motor.

i wonder if not being level had somthing to do with it. yesterday when i got home and parked it on more level ground it heated up perfect. over the weekend when it would just get luke warm i was parked on a slant.

good to know that when the red light comes on it means i have to reset it. the owners manual just doesn't have enough info in it on things i should know.

no air escaped, can i change the thermostat myself? is it hard to do, where is it located, and where do i purchase one.

Because I don't know your skill level and there is a danger with escaping propane, I am reluctant to say yes you can change the part. If you are competent and have some basic tools, it is usually easy to effect a change. Physically it is located at the back of the heater, accessible through the outside access panel. It is inline with the gas line feed to the pilot light assembly.

There are many sources of parts, most RV dealers have them in stock or you can get them mail order. An owner's manual will give you the heater model number necessary for proper parts identification. Here's one source:
