Right now I know you all are going to yell at my family for doing this but we did and need help. Lent out our 2 horse Bumper pull to a person to get a horse. The metal latch - swings down and around - closes sidewayes with a pin clip and bracket that holds the metal latch and doors in place. Well, the trailer came back but the metal latch is gone - the pin clip is still attached. They put a Bunjee cord to hold the doors closed. The question is where can we get a piece of metal to put back on the door so it can work properly again? It looks like a screw came loose since the door has a small hole where the latch was. Don't know much about this subject. Can anyone advise us. Thank you for any information.

Any chance of posting a photo or referring to a trailer photo that might show us the exact piece you need? There are many sources of standard trailer hardware and there are many pieces that look similar but are physically different.
The first places to look would be a dealer that sells your brand and the manufacturer.
DHMC and Select Trailer would be good starting points.

Thank you for your websites and advice. We got lucky and the piece of steel was on the ground and someone found it. Don't know when they found it but it was close to the place where we had our trailer parked. So now we got that back we are just going to find a fastener to keep it in place. Many Thanks!
