I just brought this trailer home yesterday. Really nice 1991 Featherlite Alum. 2 horse BP Trailer. After driving it for 4 hours going at speeds up to 75 without a problem, I park it at where my horse is boarded and leave. Today I get a message that the door nearly blew off and now it's damaged and won't shut. I say some nosey person decided to look in the trailer and didn't properly close the door. Either way, now I need a new door for the tack/dressing room. Does anybody know of a place where I can get replacement partes for my type of trailer or maybe generic parts that will fit it?

I found out that the door was made by Larson that went out of business. Featherlite now uses Haer doors which are thinner and a hair smaller than mine. Anyone know of a trailer parts place that sells junk parts? If I could get the aluminum trim that frames the door, even a 6 foot piece that connects to the hing, I'd be able to fix the door I currently have. Thanks!

How badly damaged is your door that it couldn't be repaired or even rebuilt? Many RV sales or a good fabricator are competent in aluminum repairs. If none are available, is there a small airport nearby? Private aircraft owners on the field, always have an A&P mechanic on call that are familiar with aluminum repairs. If it's made out of metal, it can be rebuilt. Check with the field's Fixed Base Opperator (FBO) for a reference.

The price may scare you.... But you can probably get a door through an All-Rite dealer. We are a dealer for All-Rite but I haven't used them for doors. I suggest you see a trailer dealer in your area if cannot install it yourself. I could probably get you a discount of some sort if you did your own install. Contact me if you want at: http://www.hayrak.com/ see contact info ask for Dan. If I can't talk right then I will get back to you.... They generally very quick, at least with custom ladders.
[Edit] Another thought, it might be worth it to just take it to an auto body person and just see if they can not get it fixed.... That is what they do.....

if you are still looking for a door their is all kinds of door manufactures for them in elkhart indiana. the company that makes RV doors are Amerimax out of ELkhart Indiana and their is another company called Phillips Products They are also a manufacturer of Rv doors. Their is quit a few RVsurpluses in Elkhart also but be carfull and check the door first for any damage ( like leakes aroud the windows and they also have delam problems if you are looking at a gelcoat or filon door, if the door is just not shutting right you might want to check if the hindjes are just sprung, alot of times they just get bent and you only have to replace the hindges
