I have an older Ram 1500 5.2 I put a GN in it without any problems. I towed a 20ft steel 2h w/4ft dr GN trailer and a 24ft 5th wheel..Just watch your weight. Now I have a bigger trailer and a diesel to pull it..

We had a Dodge 1500 short bed and pulled a 3 horse gooseneck with no problems. Watch tight turns to make sure it won't hit your trailer. Our did fine.It just used a lot of gas so we got a diesel.

I pulled a 24' steel stock with a 4' Dressing Room with a 1500 ext. cab, short bed. Pulled it fine, didn't do really well stopping.... Be sure your trailer brakes are in good shape on BOTH AXLES!!

B&W Gooseneck hitch does offer a hitch, get on-line and contact them, or contact a local B&W dealer. In my opinion it's the only hitch to put in a truck, and the great thing about them, is they are made in America!

I have a 2002 with the 5.9 it is a 4 wheel drive, standard bed and has 100,000 miles on it. I just completed a 3000 mile drive with a 3 horse Hart Gooseneck with 4 Arabians in it. I was slow and careful. The truck was solid the whole way and had plenty of power to climb the hills. I limited myself to 60 mph and got 10.5 mpg. prior to this I had towed the same trailer under 1000 miles. I also had the transmission rebuilt at 90,000 miles because of an internal failure. Before I tow very far again I will add some rear suspension support. I had a 1 ton before and the difference is very noticable. I would stress careful watching and feeling of your situation.
