My son called me last night to say gas prices in Red Wing, MN dropped to $2.99. I paid $3.19 on the other side of the state and those were the lowest I saw going across. Who would have thought we would see sub $3.00 gas again? How low will it go and for how long?

Diesel is $3.78 a gal in southern New Mexico. Bought gas in my work car and didn't pay attention to price. You need it just get it. I do rember it was under $30 for 8 gal.

I will never understand how anyone thinks US Presidents have control over gas prices... and Presidential CANDIDATES is even more of a stretch!

We are now down to $3.21 and $3.61.  I tried to explain to my sister why the president can't control the gas prices.  She doesn't understand the whole global market part and that OPEC and the stock market control prices not our government. I think.

$3.39 at the "Jacks" old country store a mile up the road..... 10 cent cheaper than anything within 30 miles! And Jack, himself, came out to my truck and pumped it for me... Must have a couple barrels of Kerosene or #2 mixed in, drop the price and flush out the tanks!! LOL!!

Perhaps not directly, but their lobbyists do.

That's impressive.  I have a photo I took in NJ when I was about 19-20 (I'm 32 now)... gas was $.87 and the reason I took a picture was that it was lower than I remembered seeing before.  (I had only recently started paying attention to gas prices.)
