I just bought an 2001 "older style" 4 star (all aluminum) and am wondering what type of cleaner to use on the aluminum.  I am aware that there are ones for polished and ones for not, but at this point the aluminum is so dull/streaky I am not sure if it was ever polished.   So need to know if it was/is polished or not  originally to choose.  I am planning on buying a streak master product because of the rave reviews, but not sure which product till I decide this.  Help!  I am also open to other suggestions if people have them....

Go to the truck wash and have them use a citrus brightener Don't get it acid washed that will make it dull and white looking

It already is dull and white looking.  That is why I am looking to clean it.  Will the citrus brightener remove that effectively?  Guessing it has been this way quite awhile...
