I'm considering a Brenderup one-horse.  The stall width is 51 inches; and, of course, there is no divider for the horse to lean on or for stabilization.  In a Brenderup 2-horse, the stall width is 32 inches with a divider.

In general, is a single horse better with more room and no divider or less room and a divider?

Thanks in advance.  (And thanks for your answers on my earlier question about ventilation in the Brenderup.)

A single horse in a one horse trailer will just lean against the walls if he needs to.  To him it will be no different than leaning against the divider.

If you will be hauling to shows or overnight trips, think about where you will carry hay (and maybe shavings) with only a one horse trailer. Love my Brenderup, but can't take both horses to an away show because one stall is for those bulky items!
And I would think the horse would prefer to be able to lean on the divider vs. swaying 10 inches in either direction with 52" width. I thought about telling B'up they should make a divider so it would be a stall-and-a-half, then there'd be room for a bale of hay.
