Are you considering (what I think is called) a "Hauler body" ?
Your use of the word "skirt" sort of suggested that to me.
Basically they take the tin box off the back and replace it with a lowered deck with a hitch built in, tool/equipment/tack lockers and/or auxiliary fuel tanks are usually built around the edges and the whole thing is painted to match the rest of the truck.
Anyway, I'd search my local yellow pages for "auto body - custom" and similar terms.

Reg, I think she means the fiberglass fenders and running boards, not the hauler bed. On my previous F350, we had them installed and painted to match by aq local company that does lettering and simple conversions. They can be ordered online too I think. My F450 was customized by Classy Chassis Of Valperaso, IN. They will do whatever you want to it and I have to say they are one of the best for custom trucks.

Hav2ride,
Ahhh, I hadn't considered the possibility that someone would WANT a non-functional change to something as utilitarian as a mere TRUCK !!!

OTOH, they DO chrome various parts of tractors these days, so why not ?

yep - that's what I meant - fiberglass fenders/running board combinations....like a conversion van....I'm in the Port Huron, MI area so Valpraiso, IN probably is not too far - you say they paint to match...I'll try to find them online! Thanks everyone! What do they call that type of "dress-up"? I've seen the Hauler beds - but I want to keep the factory bed on my truck....just want that wheel flare/runningboard/rear wheel flare, etc part to all be one piece - I saw a Ford Dually like that and I should have found the guy who owned it and asked him...he had Canadian plates and we were at a Mall - should have left a note under his windshield - but I didn't think it would be so hard to find information!

It's referred to as ground effects around here. Most of the kids have them on their cars.

Look in JC Whitney and see what you like then whoever does it knows what you want.  My brother has an Eclipse conversion package on his Ford dually he bought at Congress. You'll loose some ground clearance though.

too bad I didn't know a few months ago.  I took that exact thing OFF my rig.  I'd have given them to ya.  They were of my FORD, but hey they could've been tradin' stock for the ones to fit your rig.  Sorry, I didn't know.  I busted them up into pieces and threw em' in the dumpster.

Google a search for Claasy Chasis truck conversions. When you call you can talk to Kurt (the owner) or Tom Martin. I worked with Tom the most but both are very good. Their work is awesome!

NOW I think I gettit...

These are usually seen on trucks that also have a line of little purple lights on the edge of the running boards and a circle of little red lights around the rear license plate that wink in a rotating pattern when the brake lights come on ? THOSE sorta trucks ?

Yeah, we gotta name for those in New England - SOME of the letters of "C_O_N_V_E_R_S_I_O_N" match up, but I can't find the right word to go with conversion to make a half decent anagram right now (-:

{whatever happened to fuzzy dice anyway ?}
