This is a little off-topic, but pertains to all of us.

My husband's family owns three gas stations. Last week or the week before, some people pulled in for fuel and unloaded their horses right at the pumps. They left poop and shavings all over the concrete when they pulled away. My brother-in-law had to clean it up and wasn't happy. Of course, my husband got an earful about this from his mother. She, of course, assumes this must be the way all horse people operate and she certainly hoped we don't do that when we travel. Of course, we don't.  So, please, clean up after your critters, large and small, so business owners don't have to do it for you. The business owners would appreciate it and so would other patrons. Why anyone would unload horses at the pump is beyond me (although I did see someone do it last summer).

Sounds like a dangerous place to unload horses anyway, I doubt these people had any sense, much less any manners.  I agree, like someone would be expected to clean up after a dog, you need to clean up after your horse in a situation like this.  Of course you need a little bigger shovel and bag

WOW, I can honestly say most horse people are not like that.  I alway clean up when trailering anywhere, even horse areas!  I have a large bucket with a snap on top I put the droppings in if there is not compost dumping area.

Sorry for their mess, don't judge all of us the same way.
