I have read several posts about tires but most are from a few years back. Wondering if there are any updated opinions on the best trailer tires or at least what to stay away from? These are ST225-75-R15. The current tires are Carlisle and they were only used a few times right when I purchased them (one trip about 1000 miles and a couple of short 50-100 mile trips), but they rotted out from sitting in the Texas sun for the past 6 years.

I'm about to got with another set of BF Goodrich LT235/85R16 after 5 years. Will never use any of the ST Chinese made tires after several blow outs with the original tires that came with the trailer.

I got a set of Carlisle tires this past spring to replace my aged Goodyear Marathons. I put around 5,000 miles on them this season and they were great.

Stay away from the Powerking Towmax. In 225-75-15... Load range E I've had several with broken belts. The tread gets rounded instead of flat across the tire. I've also had a broken belt on a Goodyear wrangler truck tire in 225-75-16 LR D. Replaced all six with Michelin Matter of fact, I've got two bad ones in the back of the pick-up now to be replaced on Saturday. No more of that Towmax brand for me.
