Has anyone camped there? Like it? Would love to hear your thoughts.

We camped there last year. It is fairly close to town and the interstate, at least compared to what we're used to, so it is easy to get to. The campground was nice, some sunny and some shady spots, there was a wash stand for the horses. The other campers were friendly. The trails were clearly marked and well groomed, but we were told by the other campers that you would be fined if you were caught off the trail, or riding along the road. This meant that we had to choose the long route or the short route, we couldn't customize the length of the ride to our liking. For instance, at Brookfield, NY, there are many interconnecting trails, and at Beaver Creek, OH, there are interconnecting trails, and then many other, unmarked trails that we could explore, depending on how long we wanted to ride. This was just our impression, it still was a nice place to ride, just not somewhere we would choose to go back to.

A severe storm came through a couple weeks ago and we have heard all the bridle trails are closed. Please call the park and verify before making your plans. I've ridden there once and really liked it, there seemed to be more than two trails which did intersect. There should be information on the internet.
